A couple of possible improvers on show but CARDINAL (nap) has been reliable for his new stable and he was a very easy winner at Yarmouth last time. A penalty may not be enough to stop him in this company and he can take full advantage of a plum draw.
Off the mark at the 16th attempt when a runaway winner of a Yarmouth handicap last week; penalty to overcome here but going to face tougher assignments in the future; effective on the surface and stays this far, so leading contender from good draw.
