Signs of ability in three Wolverhampton maidens from 5f-7f, patently finding the minimum trip too sharp in the latest of those; definite scope for improvement now back over the right sort of distance for his handicap debut.

Colt with plenty of size and scope and bettered debut effort, despite still looking green, when chasing home Mark Johnston's Bowdler's Magic (who had previously shaped well) at Wolverhampton last time; sire gets winners on Fibresand and very much of interest with further progress likely.

Today’s tip from Sports tips uk is a real outsider at Lingfield this afternoon.

Running in the 2.15 Jacksbridge Handicap Cl2 1m2f I’ve opted for Faithful ridden by Paul Hanagan for the Richard Fahey yard. There are plenty of reasons not to back this horse, especially considering the patchy form experience since the last win on turf, but I’m a prolific backer of the Hanagan/Fahey combination, and at current betting of 10-1 Faithful has to be worth an eachway punt!!

Cape Kimberley and Imjin River both looked good at Southwell last time but this is a very different test and the pair to concentrate on could be Excellent Thought and MELLIFERA (nap). The former is worth another crack at this trip but the latter showed good pace over 7f last time, is well drawn and may still have more to come.[Paul Smith]

Afternoon all!

Tips are rare at the moment – with the flat season well and truly over apart from the odd all weather meeting.

That said, I’m off to Kempton tonight and really looking forward to the 8.50 digibet Casino Conditions Stakes Cl3 7f.

All bar two are rated 90+ in this useful conditions race. Confuchias has been rated a lot higher in the past and is respected in his bid to follow up last year's success in this event but KHOR DUBAI (nap) has the best recent form - notably his third in high-class company for the surface at Wolverhampton two months ago - and should take some beating if he runs close to his mark of 104.

Just had to publish this, the above image is my winnings slips from yesterday, 6 races, 6 wins.

My accumultaor had a £.20 stake and returned £221.22 - just gutted that I didn't put a tenner on!

Thanks to Frankie Dettori, Ted Durcan and Godolphin providing 5 winners, and the Queen providing the other.

Interviewed after winning on Padimini, He said: "It was beyond imagination in July to get to 100 winners and third in the (jockeys) championship. The horses are running great at the moment and it is thanks to the Godolphin team - they have put me in this position.

"When I got up this morning and thought I was four behind with three days left I suddenly thought I could do it but it was going to be tough."

Today’s tip is Landowner (Godolphin) in the 2.10 Thrower and Rutland Building Contractors Nursery Cl5 7f3y at Yarmouth - This is your last chance to go racing at Great Yarmouth until next year so don't miss out.

Won maiden at Warwick on second outing and showed plenty of further improvement when following up in Pontefract nursery (in a respectable time) upped to 1m eight days ago, pulling well clear with runner-up; drop back to 7f is less of a concern than possible softish ground (raced on firmer than good) but progressing nicely and respected under penalty.
